Elf Activities and a Christmas Math Freebie

December 12, 2013

My class loves seeing what our elf is doing each day.  Today he is driving a car.  I had him up high on a shelf but moved him so I could easily take his picture.

Yesterday he came to our class by wagon.   He left us elf kisses!  Throughout the day students received kisses if they were quiet and on task.  I should have stopped at the store on my way home today for some more incentives for my kiddos.

We did a writing activity to persuade Santa to make them his elf.
We reviewed adding and subtracting 2-digits with and without regrouping. My students love finding out the answers to these Christmas riddles.  Click here for your free copy of 2-digit addition and subtraction Christmas math riddles.

Now I am off to analyze benchmarks, DIBELS, and to look over the ELLA teacher guide so I can administer another test to my students.  I wish I could just teach and not be constantly assessing.
