Pumpkin Structures and a freebie

October 28, 2014

Today my students were working in groups to build a structure using toothpicks and pumpkin marshmallows.  They loved trying to see how high they could build it.  Our school just received a grant for our STEM projects.  I can’t wait to incorporate more science into my teaching.

We also finished our pumpkin writing.  I got this great idea from Teaching with Love and Laughter.  You can get the writing paper here.

Tomorrow we are going to continue adding two 2-digit numbers with regrouping.  I made these riddles for my students so they can get more addition practice. Click on the Halloween Riddles below for your free copy.
