St. Patrick’s Day Ideas and Exciting Freebies for the Classroom

Happy March!  I am sharing with you 2nd-grade math worksheets for St. Patrick’s Day, Lucky Charms graph, money task cards, and more. There are a few of my favorite ideas and freebies for St. Patrick’s Day to use in your classroom.

1.  FREE Counting Money Task Cards

2.  Second Grade Math Review for St. Patrick’s Day

My students need to practice math skills on a regular basis so they can keep them fresh in their brains.  These second grade math worksheets are great for a quick informal math assessment.   It is a review of counting money, place value, skip counting, telling time, 3-digit addition with regrouping, and 3-digit  subtraction with regrouping. I can quickly see which students need reteaching of various math concepts.

3.  Leprechaun Trap Letter FREEBIE

Head on over to Teachers Pay Teachers for this FREE Leprechaun Trap letter by Khrys Greco.  It is a great family activity.  Students make a leprechaun trap with their family and bring their traps in on St. Patrick’s Day.  

4.  FREE Lucky Charms Graph

My kids love any activity that includes food! Give your students a handful of Lucky Charms cereal.  Instruct your students to sort out the marshmallows and create data using the bar graph.  When they are finished graphing, they can eat the marshmallows. 5.  Leprechaun Cookies

I love these adorable leprechaun cookies made from Nutter Butter Cookies.  I am hoping I will have to make them for my students this year.  These cookies would add a special little touch to your classroom party. Head on over to Oh My! Creative for directions.  

6. Second Grade Morning Work
