Back to School Night Free Resources
Here are some amazing resources for Back to School Night and Greet the Teacher Night. I have been using these resources for years and they make things so much easier than having to create them myself. The Reading at Home letter is great to give to parents because it stresses the importance of reading.
I use the Back to School PowerPoint to introduce myself and the classroom rules and procedures to parents. The best part is that they are all Free!
Find a Friend Scavenger Hunt
My students are always very quiet and shy on the first day of school. Find a Friend Scavenger Hunt is a fun and engaging activity for students. It has pictures on it to help those students that are still learning how to read. This is the perfect first day of school icebreaker. It gets the kids up and moving.
Here are some more fun activities to keep your students busy.
Positive self-esteem is very important so I created these Scratch and Reveal notes. In addition, these notes help build a positive relationship with your students. Students need to know that you care about them. My students love scratching to see what their reward is going to be such as first in line, choosing a brain break, etc.
